Navigate and Map Chunk Transitions Effectively
Recognize Chunk Borders
Chunk borders appear as sharp, vertical walls where one solid block type ends and another begins. These transitions are your navigation landmarks. Unlike normal terrain, you'll see clear lines where the block type changes—this marks the boundary between visited and unvisited chunks.
Plan Your Exploration Route
Before crossing into a new chunk, pause and observe what block type fills it. This helps you decide whether to enter or explore a different direction. If you need wood but see a chunk of stone ahead, move sideways to find a wood-filled chunk instead.
Use Chunk Walls as Landmarks
The towering walls of single materials serve as excellent navigation markers. You can remember your base location by the block type and direction of nearby chunk walls. Create mental or written notes of which chunks contain useful materials so you can return to them later for specific resources.
