Quark Compat Data Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need to install anything extra or does this just work?
The data pack works automatically once you have the main Quark mod installed—no additional setup needed. It will recognize items from supported mods and apply compatibility features without any configuration.
Which mods' seeds can I actually put in seed pouches?
Seeds, saplings, and mushrooms from the supported farming and nature mods (Habitat, Galosphere, Farmer's Respite, Gardens of the Dead) and creature mods can be stored in seed pouches. If a mod isn't listed in the supported mods section, its seeds won't be compatible.
Why isn't my hoe from another mod harvesting crops in a larger area?
The cross-mod hoe feature only works with hoes from supported mods. Make sure you're using a hoe from one of the listed farming mods and that you're holding sneak while breaking crops, as this is how Quark's larger harvest mechanic activates.
Do Shiba Inus pick up torches from The Aether and other dimensions?
Yes, Shiba Inus will collect torches from mods in the supported world and dimension list (The Aether, Deep Aether, The Undergarden, Alex's Caves, Infernal Expansion) just like they do vanilla torches.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The data pack is lightweight since it only adds compatibility rules between existing items—it shouldn't cause noticeable performance problems. If you experience issues, check that you're not running too many mods simultaneously or that your system meets basic requirements.
Can I use this on a multiplayer server?
Yes, the data pack works on both single-player and multiplayer servers as long as all players and the server have the main Quark mod installed.
What happens if I try to store an unsupported seed in a seed pouch?
Unsupported seeds won't be recognized by the pouch and won't stack or store inside it—they'll remain as regular items in your inventory.
Do I need to update this data pack when I update Quark?
The data pack is designed to work across versions, but you should check for updates when you update the main Quark mod to ensure continued compatibility.
Which mod do I need to install first—Quark or the data pack?
Install the main Quark mod first, then add the data pack; the data pack has no function without Quark installed.
Can I disable specific cross-mod features I don't want?
The data pack applies all compatible features at once without individual toggles, but you can remove specific mod support by editing the data pack files if you're comfortable with that.
