Troubleshoot When Stonecutter Won't Accept Planks
Verify the Data Pack is Active
Check that the data pack is enabled in your world settings. Load your world and use the chat command to confirm the pack is running. If it's not active, the stonecutter will behave like vanilla and won't accept wooden planks.
Check Your Plank Type
Make sure you're using actual wooden planks, not logs or other wood blocks. The stonecutter only accepts planks. Verify you have the correct item by hovering over it in your inventory.
Inspect the Stonecutter Block
Ensure the stonecutter is placed correctly on solid ground and hasn't been damaged or replaced. Try breaking and replacing the stonecutter to reset it. Make sure no blocks are obstructing the stonecutter's interface.
Restart if Needed
If the stonecutter still won't work, save and reload your world. Sometimes data packs need a reload to function properly after joining a world. If you're on a server, ask an admin to reload the data packs.
If problems persist, verify the data pack files haven't been corrupted during installation.
