Find and Identify Toucan Variants in the Jungle

Locate Jungle Biomes

Toucans spawn exclusively in jungle biomes as new parrot variants. Travel to any jungle or bamboo jungle biome to begin your search. They appear at the same spawn rates and locations as vanilla parrots.

Recognize Toucan Models

With Prettier Parrots installed, toucans display with distinctive features that set them apart from traditional parrots: larger, more prominent beaks and unique tropical coloring. Look for birds perched on branches and logs that have noticeably different proportions than the remodeled standard parrots.

Tame and Collect Them

Toucans can be tamed using seeds, just like vanilla parrots. Carry seeds in your hotbar and right-click on a toucan to attempt taming. A successful tame is indicated by a collar appearing around the bird's neck. Collect multiple variants by exploring different jungle areas—the resource pack maintains the variety of tropical bird colors while giving each a more lifelike appearance.
