PPL Alternative GUI Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need Pixel Perfection Legacy installed to use this pack?
No, this pack works as a standalone resource pack. It's designed to complement Pixel Perfection Legacy, but you can apply it to any world to get the midnight blue GUI theme on its own.
Why do my container screens still look bright after installing the pack?
Make sure the pack is positioned above any conflicting resource packs in your load order—resource packs load from bottom to top, so packs listed higher override those below them. Check that you've selected the pack in your resource pack menu.
How do I get colored shulker box textures to match the GUI theme?
Install OptiGUI alongside this pack; the mod will automatically apply dedicated container textures for each dyed shulker box color that fit the midnight blue aesthetic.
Can I use this pack with other GUI mods like Jade?
Yes, this pack includes a matching visual theme for the Jade overlay. Other GUI mods may work depending on whether they modify the same texture files, but Jade is officially supported.
Will this pack affect my performance?
No, resource packs like this one only change textures and don't impact frame rate or server performance.
Do the status effect icons match the new GUI theme?
Yes, the pack includes refreshed status effect icons styled in muted gray-blue tones to match the midnight blue GUI.
What happens to my hotbar with this pack installed?
Your survival hotbar and item slots are restyled with the calm midnight blue theme, replacing the standard bright appearance.
Does this pack change crafting table or chest interfaces?
Yes, inventory screens, crafting tables, and chests are all converted to the muted midnight blue style for a consistent look.
Can I use this pack on a multiplayer server?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this on any server without needing server-side installation.
What do the toast alerts look like with this pack?
Pop-up toast notifications are restyled to fit the midnight blue theme, maintaining readability while matching the overall aesthetic.
