Set Up a Guarded Territory Boss That Respawns on a Timer

Create the Guarded Ground Arena

Target your chosen block and type /poi new territory_name. Open the designer menu.

Configure the Arena

1. Select Guarded Ground as your game mode

2. In the Mobs tab, add a boss and surrounding guard mobs that defend the territory

3. Set the respawn cooldown timer—this controls how long after defeat before the boss and guards spawn again

4. Adjust boss stats using the Difficulty sliders if needed

5. Set Costs (items required to challenge) and Rewards (prizes for victory)

6. Save your configuration

How It Works

Once a player triggers the arena, the boss and its guards occupy a defined zone. They don't leave this area. When defeated, they disappear and a countdown begins. After the cooldown expires, fresh copies spawn automatically, ready for the next challenger.

Unlike world bosses, guarded ground arenas are stationary and self-resetting. This makes them ideal for dungeons, bases, or repeatable challenges. Use /poi respawn territory_name to force an immediate respawn if needed.
