Use Ruby Weapons with Smite Damage

Obtain Ruby-Tier Equipment

Ruby weapons from the Spellblades mod now have Smite as part of this data pack. Craft or find ruby-tier swords and tools through normal Spellblades progression.

Apply Smite in Combat

Once you have a ruby weapon equipped:

1. Engage undead enemies (zombies, skeletons, withers, etc.)

2. Attack normally—Smite damage is applied automatically

3. You'll notice higher damage numbers compared to hitting living mobs

Ruby weapons benefit from this patch because they were previously missing Smite coverage when both Paladins and Spellblades were installed together. Now they deal the holy damage bonus you'd expect from a paladin-focused setup.

Combine with Other Enchantments

Your ruby weapons can still receive other enchantments and abilities from either mod. Smite works alongside these effects, making ruby gear a solid choice for undead-heavy areas like dungeons and the Nether.
