Set Up Your Modpack with All Three Required Mods

Understand the Dependency Chain

This data pack only works when three mods are present and active:

• Paladins mod — provides the Smite ability framework
• Spellblades mod — provides the weapons that receive Smite
• Spell Engine — required dependency that both mods need to function

All three must be installed before the data pack will have any effect.

Verify Installation

Once all mods are in your mods folder:

1. Launch your game and check the mods list—all three should appear

2. Create a new world or load an existing one

3. Enable the data pack in world settings

4. Reload or restart to apply changes

Confirm Everything Works

Test by spawning or crafting a weapon from Spellblades (like a ruby sword or aeternium mace). Check its tooltip for Smite. If you see it listed, the patch is active and working correctly.

Without all three mods present, weapons won't receive Smite coverage, and the data pack will have no visible effect.
