Play Survival Mode with Reduced Visibility

Prepare Your World

Before enabling heavy blur in survival, set up a safe base with adequate lighting. The blur will make it harder to spot mobs and hazards, so good preparation is essential. Stock up on food and basic tools before increasing blur intensity.

Enable the Shader and Start Playing

Activate Out of Focus Shaders at your chosen blur level. Begin in familiar terrain near your base rather than exploring new areas immediately. The blur will make navigation slower and more deliberate.

Adapt Your Playstyle

With reduced visibility, you'll need to:

• Move more carefully and listen for mob sounds
• Use torches and lighting more strategically
• Stay closer to home until you adjust to the blur
• Mine more slowly to avoid missing valuable ores
• Keep your inventory organized since you can't see items clearly from distance

Manage Difficulty Gradually

If the blur becomes frustrating, lower it temporarily while you gather resources or explore. Increase it again when you're ready for a harder challenge. This mod works best when you control the difficulty to match your mood and skill level.
