Build Structures While Dealing with Blur
Start with Simple Designs
Building with Out of Focus Shaders active requires patience. Begin with basic structures using solid-colored blocks that remain distinguishable through the blur. Avoid complex patterns or detailed work until you're comfortable with reduced visibility.
Use Placement Markers
Place torches, temporary blocks, or other markers to outline your structure before building. This helps you maintain alignment and proportions when you can't see fine details clearly. Remove markers once the main structure is complete.
Work in Sections
Divide large builds into smaller chunks. Complete one wall, floor, or section fully before moving to the next. This prevents confusion about what you've already built and keeps your progress visible.
Adjust Blur Temporarily
For detailed decorative work—like placing stairs, slabs, or intricate patterns—consider lowering the blur temporarily. Once the decoration is done, increase it back to your preferred challenge level. There's no penalty for adjusting settings mid-build.
Step Back Frequently
Regularly move away from your build to see the overall shape and proportions through the blur. This helps catch mistakes early and ensures your structure looks good even with reduced visibility.
