Origin Forge Master Terminal Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get the editor item to start using the mod?
Use the command `/give @s pokemon_editor:pokemon_editor` to add the editor item to your inventory. If you're on a server, you need operator permissions to run this command. Once you have it, you can right-click wild Pokémon or use `/pokemoneditor` commands to open storage menus.
Can I edit Pokémon that other players own?
Yes, use `/pokemoneditor ` to open their PC storage, or `/pokemoneditor party` to access a specific party slot. You need operator permissions to run these commands. The player's Pokémon will update instantly when you save changes.
What happens if I make a mistake while editing?
The mod shows you a confirmation screen with all changed fields before you apply them, so you can cancel if something looks wrong. If you've already saved, you can use the undo feature or load from your session history snapshots to revert recent edits.
How do I check if a move is legal for a Pokémon?
When you open the moveset editor, the mod displays move legality information and shows where each move can be acquired (level-up, TM, breeding, etc.). This prevents you from accidentally giving a Pokémon moves it shouldn't be able to learn.
Can I change a Pokémon's evolution or force it to evolve?
Yes, the evolution tab lets you trigger forced evolution or roll back one evolution step. You can also modify the evolution path itself if needed, giving you full control over a Pokémon's evolutionary state.
Does the mod work with Pokémon Showdown data?
Yes, you can import and export Pokémon data in Pokémon Showdown format as well as JSON. This makes it easy to transfer competitive sets or share Pokémon configurations between tools.
Will editing Pokémon affect server performance?
The mod is designed for administrative use and doesn't cause performance issues during normal gameplay. All edits are applied instantly without requiring server restarts or file manipulation.
How do I see what a Pokémon will look like before saving changes?
The editor includes a live model preview that updates as you adjust appearance settings like shiny state, gender, scale, form, and custom aspects. You can also browse a visual appearance gallery to see all available options.
Can I edit IVs and EVs separately?
Yes, the stats menu lets you modify individual values (IVs) and effort values (EVs) independently, along with level, nature, ability, health, and friendship. You can adjust each stat individually or in bulk.
Is there a log of what I've edited?
Yes, the mod includes action audit logging so server operators can review what changes were made. The session history also keeps ten snapshots of your recent edits, letting you navigate back through your changes.
