Reassemble Two Slabs into a Full Block Using a Crafting Table

Slab Combination Mechanic

If you've cut too many slabs and want to convert pairs back into full blocks, you can use the crafting table to reassemble them. This is faster than recycling individual slabs back to planks.

Steps

1. Open a crafting table

2. Place two matching slabs side by side horizontally in the crafting grid (they must be the same type and material)

3. The crafting table will output one full block

4. Collect your reassembled block

When to Use This Method

This approach is ideal when you have pairs of slabs left over and want to quickly convert them back to solid blocks for storage or further use. It's faster than the Stonecutter recycling process if you're working with many matching pairs.

Note that the two slabs must be placed horizontally next to each other in the crafting grid—vertical placement won't work. This works for all slab types produced by the Stonecutter, including wood, stone, and copper variants across all their oxidation states.
