Process Copper Blocks Through All Oxidation Stages
Cutting Copper at Any Oxidation Level
The Stonecutter works with copper blocks regardless of their oxidation state—from fresh copper to fully oxidized blocks. You can cut decorative variants like stairs, slabs, bars, rods, chains, doors, and trapdoors from any stage.
Steps
1. Place a Stonecutter and insert a copper block (any oxidation stage) into the input slot
2. Open the output menu to see available cuts for that oxidation level
3. Select your desired output—for example, "Oxidized Copper Stairs" or "Weathered Copper Bars"
4. The Stonecutter processes the block into your chosen variant
5. Repeat with different oxidation stages to create mixed decorative patterns
Design Flexibility
Since you can cut copper at any oxidation stage, you can create varied architectural details without waiting for blocks to oxidize naturally or manually applying wax. This is especially useful for building projects that need visual variety—mix fresh copper doors with oxidized copper stairs for dynamic exterior designs.
You can also combine this with recycling: cut copper items can be placed back in the Stonecutter to recover base copper blocks, letting you experiment with different oxidation levels without wasting materials.
