Omichall’s PVP Plugin FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on PVP mode?
Type /pvp on to enable combat mode. You'll see a notification on your action bar or boss bar confirming the change. Other players in combat mode can now fight you, and you can fight them.
What happens to my items when I die in PVP?
By default, your items drop when defeated in player combat. Use /pvpdrops off to keep your inventory safe, or /pvpdrops on to allow drops again. This setting is separate from your combat status.
Can I use commands while fighting?
No, commands are blocked during active combat to keep battles fair. You must wait until the fight ends before using /pvp, /bounty, or other commands.
How do I protect my items after dying to mobs or fall damage?
Use /heirs add to designate trusted friends who can pick up your dropped items after natural deaths. Only your heirs can loot these drops—other players cannot.
What's the difference between heirs and PVP drops?
Heirs protect items dropped from natural deaths (mobs, fall damage, etc.), while /pvpdrops controls whether your inventory drops during player-versus-player fights. These are two separate systems.
How do bounties work?
Use /bounty set and place an item in your cursor to put a reward on that player's head. Any player can hunt the target and claim the bounty items if they defeat them in combat.
Can I see who has bounties on them?
Yes, use /bounty list to see all active bounties or /bounty leaderboard to see which players have the highest rewards on their heads.
How do I start a rivalry with another player?
Type /rivals challenge to send them an invite. Once they accept with /rivals accept, you can set custom goals and item prizes using /rivals set_rules.
Do new players get protection from spawn camping?
Yes, newly respawned players have spawn protection that prevents other players from repeatedly killing them or camping the spawn area.
How do I check my combat stats?
Use /pvpstats to view your own stats, or /pvpstats to check another player's. Available stats include kills, deaths, kill streaks, damage dealt, damage taken, and kill-death ratio.
