Set Up Your First Meteor Defense System

Gather Materials

Collect wood, stone, and basic crafting materials. You'll need to mine meteoric chunks from impact craters to craft your first laser. Look for fresh craters with glowing hot meteoric rock blocks—these are your primary resource.

Build Your Defense Grid

Craft a basic laser tower at a crafting table using meteoric chunks and other materials. Place it near your base perimeter, ideally on high ground for better coverage. The laser will automatically target incoming meteors within its protection radius.

To verify your coverage area, hold a Focusing Lens in your hand. You'll see the active defense boundary displayed around your laser blocks. This helps you position multiple lasers to cover your entire base.

Upgrade When Ready

As you collect more meteoric chunks, craft meteoric alloy. Use this to build advanced lasers, which have larger defense ranges, faster cooldown speeds, and stronger targeting power. Stack multiple lasers for overlapping protection against meteor shower events.

Monitor your laser placement during actual meteor impacts to ensure critical structures stay protected.
