Fix Visual Issues Like Flickering or Color Banding
Check Shadow Settings First
Flickering often comes from shadow calculations. Open shader settings and look for "Shadow Bias," "Shadow Filtering," or "Temporal Anti-Aliasing." Increase shadow bias slightly if you see shimmering on block edges. Enable temporal anti-aliasing if available—it smooths out jitter.
Adjust Color Depth Settings
Color banding (visible stripes in gradients, especially in skies) happens when color precision is too low. Look for "Color Precision," "Bit Depth," or "Dithering" options. Enable dithering if present, or increase color precision to reduce banding.
Verify Bloom and Exposure
Sometimes bloom (bright glow around light sources) or exposure settings cause visual artifacts. Lower bloom intensity or disable it temporarily to see if that's the culprit. Adjust exposure to a middle value if the image looks too bright or dark.
Clear Shader Cache
If issues persist, close Minecraft and delete the shader cache folder (usually in your game directory under shaderpacks). Relaunch and let the shader recompile.
Test in Different Locations
Load different biomes and times of day. Some issues only appear in specific lighting conditions. This helps narrow down whether the problem is a setting or an incompatibility.
