Using Chalk and Ritual Bowls Correctly

Choose Your Chalk

Chalk comes in many colors: Black Chalk, Blue Chalk, Brown Chalk, Cyan Chalk, Gray Chalk, Green Chalk, Light Blue Chalk, Light Gray Chalk, Lime Chalk, Magenta Chalk, Orange Chalk, Pink Chalk, Purple Chalk, Red Chalk, White Chalk, and Yellow Chalk. Impure versions exist for each color (e.g. Impure Black Chalk, Impure Blue Chalk, Impure Brown Chalk, Impure Cyan Chalk, Impure Gray Chalk, Impure Green Chalk, Impure Light Blue Chalk, Impure Light Gray Chalk, Impure Lime Chalk, Impure Magenta Chalk, Impure Orange Chalk, Impure Pink Chalk, Impure Purple Chalk). Impure chalk is used in lower-tier rituals; pure chalk is required for higher-tier pentacles.

Draw the Pentacle

Use a Chalk Brush to place chalk on the ground. Each ritual in the Dictionary Of Spirits specifies a pentacle pattern. Match the pattern exactly. Chalk colors must match the ritual's requirements. Place Large Candle blocks (Large Black Candle, Large Blue Candle, Large Brown Candle, Large Candle, Large Cyan Candle, Large Gray Candle, Large Green Candle, Large Light Blue Candle, Large Light Gray Candle, Large Lime Candle, Large Magenta Candle, Large Orange Candle, Large Pink Candle, Large Purple Candle, Large Red Candle, Large White Candle, Large Yellow Candle) at the marked positions.

Place the Bowl

Set your Golden Ritual Bowl, Iesnium Ritual Bowl, Dark Golden Ritual Bowl, or Dark Iesnium Ritual Bowl at the center of the pentacle. The bowl holds the ritual offerings. If the pattern is wrong, the ritual fails and consumes nothing. Check the Dictionary Of Spirits for the exact layout before placing chalk.
