How to Perform a Ritual with Chalk and a Sacrificial Bowl in Occultism

Draw the circle

Craft a Chalk Brush and chalk. Start with White Chalk for basic circles, then use Black Chalk, Blue Chalk, Brown Chalk, Cyan Chalk, Gray Chalk, Green Chalk, Light Blue Chalk, Light Gray Chalk, Lime Chalk, Magenta Chalk, Orange Chalk, Pink Chalk, Purple Chalk, Red Chalk, or Yellow Chalk as the ritual requires. Impure versions such as Impure Black Chalk and Impure Blue Chalk exist but are weaker; use pure chalk for reliable results.

Place the bowl and offerings

Place a Sacrificial Bowl at the center of the chalk pattern. Variants include Copper Sacrificial Bowl, Dark Copper Sacrificial Bowl, Silver Sacrificial Bowl, Dark Silver Sacrificial Bowl, Golden Ritual Bowl, Dark Golden Ritual Bowl, Iesnium Ritual Bowl, and Dark Iesnium Ritual Bowl. The bowl tier determines which spirits you can summon. Put the required offering item into the bowl, then light the ritual with Spirit Fire (produced by the occultism:spirit_fire recipe).

Complete the summon

When the ritual finishes, the spirit appears. Use a Book of Binding: Empty to capture it, producing a bound book such as Book of Binding: Foliot (Bound) or Book of Binding: Djinni (Bound). Unbound books like Book of Binding: Afrit, Book of Binding: Djinni, Book of Binding: Foliot, and Book of Binding: Marid are the summoning targets. Candles such as Large White Candle or Large Black Candle can be placed around the circle for decoration and to satisfy certain ritual layouts.
