How to Recover from Negative Reputation and Redemption Trades

Find the Village Leader

When your reputation drops into negative numbers (Weary tier or below), the Village Leader will begin seeking you out. This NPC appears in the village and offers redemption trades—special transactions designed to help you clear your name and rebuild trust with the community.

Complete Redemption Trades

Approach the Village Leader and accept their redemption trade offers. These trades typically require you to provide resources or complete tasks in exchange for reputation points. Successfully completing these trades gradually lifts you out of negative standing and returns you to neutral or positive tiers.

Prevention and Long-Term Standing

To avoid hitting rock bottom, defend villages from raids (earning +5 reputation each time) and trade fairly with merchants. Maxing out trade levels with individual villagers also grants small reputation bonuses. Once you're back in positive standing, maintain it by avoiding theft and crime—the cost of redemption is always higher than the cost of prevention.
