Understand Stonecutter Recipe Trees
What Are Stonecutter Recipe Trees?
NexusLib adds stonecutter recipe trees, which expand the stonecutter's functionality beyond vanilla stone recipes. These trees allow mods to define chains of recipes where one block can be cut into multiple variants, and those variants can be cut further.
Using Stonecutter Recipe Trees
When you place a stonecutter and interact with it:
1. Insert a block into the stonecutter's input slot
2. The output menu shows all available cuts for that block
3. Select a variant to produce it
4. Some outputs can themselves be cut further into additional variants
This creates a flexible crafting tree. For example, a single stone block might cut into stairs, slabs, and walls, and those pieces might cut into smaller decorative variants.
Recipe trees are defined by mods using NexusLib. You simply use the stonecutter as normal—the mod ensures recipes are organized logically and don't conflict with other mods' recipes.
