Manage Block Particle Colors and Tinting

Understanding Block Particle Colors

When blocks break or are affected by particles, they display colors based on their texture or biome tint. NexusLib provides tools to manage these particle colors, removing unwanted tints that might make particles look incorrect or inconsistent.

How Particle Color Management Works

NexusLib helps mods control which blocks display biome-dependent colors (like grass greening in lush biomes) and which should display neutral colors. This prevents:

  • Grass particles appearing wrong in non-grass biomes
  • Foliage tinting incorrectly in deserts or oceans
  • Inconsistent particle appearance across different block variants

As a player, you won't configure this directly—mods using NexusLib handle it automatically. However, you'll notice:

  • Particle effects look more consistent and correct
  • Modded blocks display appropriate colors in their biomes
  • Breaking blocks produces particles that match the block's actual appearance

This system runs silently in the background, ensuring visual polish across modded content.
