How to Grow and Harvest Pitaya from a Pitaya Cactus

Getting the Cactus

Place a Pitaya Cactus block on sand or dirt. It is a placed block, so you need at least one in hand before you can start a farm. Break naturally generated Pitaya Cactus with any tool to collect it, then replant where you want your farm.

Harvesting Fruit

Once planted, the Pitaya Cactus produces Pitaya over time. Break or right-click the mature cactus to collect Pitaya. Each Pitaya you gather can be eaten directly or processed further.

Turning Pitaya into Juice

Pitaya Juice is your main product from this crop. Combine Pitaya with a container in a crafting grid to produce Pitaya Juice. Keep a stack of Pitaya on hand so you can batch-craft juice without running back to the farm.

Storage

Craft a Pitaya Crate to store Pitaya in bulk. A crate holds more than a chest slot and keeps your stockpile organized. Place Pitaya Crates near your crafting station so you can pull fruit straight into juice recipes.

Farm Layout Tips

Line up several Pitaya Cactus blocks in a row with one block of space between them so you can walk through and harvest quickly. Replant any cactus you break by accident. If you want a steady supply of Pitaya Juice, aim for at least eight cactus blocks before you start brewing.
