Troubleshoot When Friends Can't Connect to Your Server

Verify the Public Address

Check your server console for the generated public address that Nekorelay created. Make sure you've shared the correct address with your friends—typos or outdated addresses are common causes of connection failures.

Check Your Whitelist

If a friend is getting a "not whitelisted" error, confirm their exact Minecraft username is added to your whitelist. Usernames are case-sensitive. Use /whitelist add <username> in the server console if needed.

Confirm Server Status

Ensure your server is actually running and the Nekorelay plugin loaded successfully. Look for any error messages in the console during startup. The relay connection should show as active.

Test Connectivity

Try joining from another device on a different network to verify the public address works. If you can join but your friend cannot, the issue is likely on their end—firewall, ISP restrictions, or Minecraft launcher problems.

If no one can connect, restart your server and check that the plugin is in the correct folder and enabled.
