Neko’s Dragon Blazes Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why don't my dragons look like dragons?
Entity Model Features (EMF) is required for the custom dragon models to display. Install EMF before loading your world, then restart your game completely—a simple reload won't load the new shapes.
Can I ride the dragon blazes?
Yes, if you install the Rideable Blazes mod alongside this pack, you can mount and fly on the dragons in the Nether. The two mods work together perfectly without conflicts.
Do the dragons behave differently than regular blazes?
No, the dragons have identical behavior to vanilla Blazes—they still shoot fireballs, take the same damage, and drop the same loot. This pack only changes their appearance, not their mechanics.
What happens when a dragon shoots a fireball?
The dragon opens its mouth wide before firing, giving you a visual warning. The fireball behavior and damage remain the same as vanilla Blazes.
Do I need any other mods besides EMF?
Only Entity Model Features is required for the pack to work. Rideable Blazes is optional but recommended if you want to fly on the dragons.
Will this pack work with my other resource packs?
This pack specifically replaces Blaze models, so it won't conflict with most other packs. However, if another pack also modifies Blazes, load this one higher in your pack order to prioritize the dragon design.
Are the dragons only red?
Yes, the dragons in this pack are red. If you want different colors, you would need to use a different resource pack or create a custom variant.
Do the dragons emit particles?
Yes, the dragons emit black smoke particles, which you can see in the screenshots. This is purely visual and doesn't affect gameplay.
Will this mod affect my game's performance?
The pack itself has minimal performance impact since it only changes model visuals. Performance depends more on your EMF settings and overall system—adjust EMF's rendering options if you experience lag.
Do I need to change any game settings after installing?
No special settings are required beyond having EMF installed and enabled. Just load your world and the dragons should appear automatically.
