Sapphire Crystals, Schist, and Smithing Recipes
Sapphire in Mythic Upgrades is a glacial gemstone tier utilized to forge reinforced cold-resistant armor, sharp tools, and vibrant decorative crystal blocks.
Sourcing Sapphire and Raw Materials
Securing Sapphire equipment begins with subterranean exploration:
Sapphire Ore: Generates naturally in mountain caverns and deep subterranean rock.- Sapphire Gem: Acquired by mining ore or smelting ore blocks inside a blast furnace.
- Sapphire Crystal Shards: Mineral fragments utilized in crystal carving and masonry.
Mining Sapphire requires an Iron Pickaxe or better. Mining with a Fortune III pickaxe significantly boosts the yield of raw gems. In 1.20.1, smelting Sapphire Ore in a blast furnace rapidly yields pure 
Sapphire gems.
Forging Sapphire Ingots
Raw sapphires cannot be applied directly to armaments; they must be alloyed with Necoium:
- 4 Sapphire gems + 4 Necoium Ingots (shapeless crafting) -> 1
Sapphire Ingot - 9 Sapphire Ingots in a 3x3 crafting grid -> 1
Block of Sapphire (uncraftable back to 9 ingots)
Smithing Sapphire Tools and Armor
Upgrading equipment to Sapphire tier requires a Smithing Table and the Mythic Upgrade Smithing Template:

Sapphire Hoe - Mythic Upgrade Smithing Template + Netherite Helmet + Sapphire Ingot ->
Sapphire Helmet - Mythic Upgrade Smithing Template + Netherite Chestplate + Sapphire Ingot ->

Weapons and armor from other gem tiers can also be upgraded into Sapphire equivalents using the same recipe.

Builders can craft diverse architectural blocks using sapphire components:
