Upgrading Netherite Gear to Ruby Tools and Armor

guide

Upgrading equipment to the Ruby tier in Mythic Upgrades requires alloying raw rubies with necoium ingots and applying them to Netherite gear at a Smithing Table.

Sourcing Ruby and Forging Ingots

Ruby armaments cannot be crafted directly from raw gems; players must first create Ruby Ingots:

To store ingots or create decorative blocks, 9 Ruby Ingots can be packed into 1 Block of Ruby, which uncrafts freely back into 9 ingots.

Applying Smithing Upgrades

Upgrading to Ruby tools and armor requires three components placed inside a Smithing Table:

  • Mythic Upgrade Smithing Template (template slot)
  • Base equipment piece (Netherite or existing gem tier)
  • 1 Ruby Ingot (addition slot)

Complete Equipment Transformation Table

Any existing enchantments on the Netherite gear transfer completely to the new Ruby equipment during the smithing process.

Architectural Ruby Masonry

Surplus ruby crystal shards can be converted into high-contrast building blocks:

Each block type can be processed into stairs, slabs, and walls via a Stonecutter.
