Blast Furnace Smelting Recipes for Mythic Ores
The Blast Furnace in Mythic Upgrades smelts raw gem ores and necoium deposits at twice the speed of a standard furnace while consuming standard fuel.
How Blasting Operates
A Blast Furnace is crafted using one standard furnace, five iron ingots, and three smooth stone blocks. When fed fuel like coal, charcoal, or blaze rods, it smelts ores at 100 ticks (5 seconds) per item instead of the standard furnace's 200 ticks (10 seconds).
In Mythic Upgrades (specifically version 1.20.1), raw ore blocks collected during mining expeditions can be blasted directly into their refined gem or ingot states.

Automated Smelting Setup
To handle large mining hauls efficiently:
- Place a double chest for incoming ores above a Blast Furnace, connected by an downward-facing hopper into the furnace top.
- Place a side hopper leading into the blast furnace from a dedicated fuel chest filled with coal blocks or charcoal.
- Place an extraction hopper beneath the blast furnace directing outputs into a storage chest.
Because the blast furnace operates at double speed, this setup processes a full stack of 64 raw gem ores in just over 5 minutes.
Downstream Ingot Forging
Refined gems retrieved from the blast furnace can immediately be combined with Necoium Ingots in a crafting table (4 gems + 4 necoium ingots) to produce upgrade ingots for tools and armor.
