Crafting Your First Spear

Spears are versatile melee weapons that can be thrown or used in hand-to-hand combat. They come in seven material tiers, each with increasing durability and damage.

To craft a spear, arrange your chosen material (wood, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond, or netherite) in a specific pattern on a crafting table. You'll also need a stick to form the shaft. Check your crafting recipe for the exact layout based on your material.

Using Your Spear

Equip the spear in your main hand and left-click to attack nearby enemies with melee strikes. For ranged combat, hold right-click to charge a throw, then release to launch the spear at distant targets. The spear will travel in an arc and deal damage on impact.

Spears are particularly effective against multiple enemies due to their sweeping attack pattern. They can be enchanted like other weapons, and higher-tier materials provide better performance. Retrieve thrown spears from the ground after they land, or craft replacements as needed.
