Modern Content Backport Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get a Spear?
Craft a Spear using wood, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond, or netherite by arranging the material in the crafting grid according to the spear recipe. Once crafted, hold it in your hand and right-click to throw it at enemies; it will return to you like a trident.
What's the difference between a Mace and a regular sword?
The Mace is a heavy weapon that deals more damage and has a unique falling attack—the farther you fall before hitting an enemy, the more damage it deals. It also benefits from enchantments like Density and Breach that don't work on swords.
Where do I find the Breeze mob?
The Breeze spawns in Trial Chambers and similar structures; if your world doesn't have these structures, check your mod configuration to ensure the Breeze spawn is enabled. Once defeated, it drops Breeze Rods which can be crafted into Wind Charges.
How do I use Wind Charges?
Wind Charges are projectiles that push you and enemies away when they explode. Hold one and right-click to throw it, or use them as ammunition with certain weapons that support them.
What biome do Bogged spawn in?
Bogged mobs spawn naturally in swamp biomes as a variant of skeletons. They're slower than regular skeletons but can poison you with their arrows.
Can I wear Nautilus armor?
Yes—craft a full set of Nautilus armor using Nautilus shells. You can find Nautilus mobs in oceans, or locate Zombie Nautilus riders for a chance to farm the shells.
Do Copper tools and armor work like vanilla Copper?
Copper tools and armor function as regular tools and armor without oxidation mechanics. They're a mid-tier option between stone and iron in terms of durability and damage.
How do I use decorated pots now?
Right-click on a decorated pot to open an inventory and place items inside. Pots can now stack up to 64 in your inventory and retain their contents when moved.
Is this mod compatible with other content mods?
Yes, the mod is designed to work alongside other mods in 1.20.1. If you experience conflicts, check the mod's config file for toggles that let you disable specific features.
Why are my villagers not trading?
Check your mod config file—there's a toggle for villager trading that may be disabled. Enable it if you want villagers to trade items related to the new content.
