Troubleshoot Missing or Broken Reflections

Verify Shader Installation

Confirm that SSR Shaders is properly loaded. Check your shader pack folder in OptiFine or Iris and ensure the pack appears in your active shader list. Restart Minecraft after installing or updating the shader.

Check Loader Compatibility

SSR Shaders works with both OptiFine and Iris, but ensure your loader version is up to date. Outdated loaders may not support all shader features. If using Iris, verify your Minecraft version matches the shader's requirements.

Inspect Water Blocks

Reflections only appear on water surfaces. Confirm you're looking at actual water blocks, not other liquids. Reflections may not render on water that's heavily obstructed or in very dark areas—the shader needs visible sky or nearby blocks to reflect.

Reset Shader Options

If reflections are broken or distorted, try resetting shader settings to defaults. Delete any custom configuration files and reload the shader. This often resolves visual glitches or conflicts with other mods.
