How to Fill and Use Chemical Tanks in Mekanism

Filling a Chemical Tank

Chemical Tanks store gases and liquids produced by Mekanism machines. To fill one, place the tank next to the machine that outputs the chemical and connect them with a Basic Pressurized Tube. The tube carries chemicals the same way Universal Cable carries energy. For example, a Chemical Oxidizer produces a gas that flows through a Pressurized Tube into a Basic Chemical Tank.

You can also fill a tank by hand: hold the tank and right-click the output side of a machine that holds the chemical, or use a Canteen for portable chemical storage.

Moving Chemicals Between Machines

Use Pressurized Tubes to link a Chemical Washer, Chemical Infuser, Chemical Injection Chamber, or Chemical Crystallizer to your tanks. Right-click tubes with a Configurator to set pull and push sides so chemicals flow only where you want them. Upgrade to Advanced Pressurized Tube when your throughput outgrows the basic version, and swap Basic Chemical Tank for Advanced Chemical Tank to hold more.

Practical Uses

A filled Chemical Tank feeds downstream machines without you babysitting each one. Keep a tank between your Chemical Oxidizer and Chemical Infuser so the infuser always has gas on hand. For creative testing, a Creative Chemical Tank provides unlimited chemical so you can prototype a chain before committing resources.
