How to Build and Use a Digital Miner

Placement and Power

The Digital Miner needs a solid power supply. Run Advanced Universal Cable from an Advanced Energy Cube directly into the Digital Miner, or place a Chargepad next to it. Without enough power it will not start, so upgrade your Energy Cube tier before you expand the mining radius.

Configuring the Filter

Open the Digital Miner interface. Set the block filter to the ore or block you want, for example Block of Osmium or Block of Uranium. Set the mining radius and the replacement block if you want the hole filled, for example Block of Charcoal or Block of Steel. The Digital Miner only mines what matches the filter, so you can target a single ore type and ignore everything else.

Collecting Output

Mined blocks go into the Digital Miner's internal inventory. Attach a Basic Logistical Transporter or Advanced Logistical Transporter to pull items into a Basic Bin or Advanced Bin. Use a Configurator to set the transporter to pull mode, then right-click the Bin to set it as the destination. Upgrade the Bin tier when it fills too fast, and use a Configuration Card to copy the same filter setup onto a second Digital Miner.
