Switch Between Medium and High Profile Settings

Access Shader Settings

Open your pause menu while in-game and look for the Shader Options or Video Settings panel. MCL Shaders provides two performance tiers to suit your hardware.

Choose Your Profile

Medium Profile delivers a solid visual upgrade with shadows, colored lighting, and water reflections while maintaining smooth performance on standard gaming rigs. Use this if you experience frame rate drops or play on a laptop.

High Profile enables all features at maximum quality: sharper shadows, more detailed water reflections, enhanced foliage movement, and richer colored light bleeding from torches and glowing blocks. Choose this if your GPU handles 60+ FPS comfortably.

Apply Changes

Select your preferred profile and confirm. The shader will reload—you'll see a brief pause as textures and lighting recalculate. No world restart is needed.

Performance Tips

If High Profile stutters, lower your render distance or disable other visual mods. If Medium feels too demanding, reduce shadow quality or disable water reflections in advanced options.
