Apply Smite to a Greatsword Using an Enchanting Table

Finding a Greatsword

First, obtain a greatsword from the Minecraft Dungeons Weapons mod. You can find these as loot in the world or craft them if recipes are available in your modpack.

Enchanting at the Table

1. Open an enchanting table

2. Place your greatsword in the left slot

3. Spend lapis lazuli to view available enchantments

4. Look for Smite in the list of options

5. Click Smite to apply it to your greatsword

The enchantment level will vary based on your experience level and the table's power. Higher experience levels unlock stronger Smite versions.

Why This Works

This data pack updates greatswords to be recognized as heavy weapons, making them compatible with Smite. Without the pack, the enchanting table would not offer Smite for these weapons. Once applied, your greatsword will deal bonus damage to all undead mobs including zombies, skeletons, wither skeletons, and the Wither boss itself.
