Mc Dungeons All the Smites Data Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need both Minecraft Dungeons Weapons and Spellblades for this pack to work?
No, you only need at least one of them installed. The data pack will enable Smite on heavy weapons from whichever mod you have, but you need at least one weapon mod for the pack to have any effect.
Why can't I find Smite in my enchanting table even with the pack installed?
Make sure you're trying to enchant a heavy weapon that the pack supports, like a greatsword, hammer, mace, or bone club. Smite only appears as an option for these specific weapon types, not on regular swords or other items.
Can I use Smite on a bone club?
Yes, the bone club counts as a heavy club in this pack and can receive the Smite enchantment, even though it's an unusual weapon choice.
What's the difference between enchanting a weapon at the table versus using an anvil with an enchanted book?
The enchanting table gives you random enchantments including Smite, while an anvil with an enchanted book lets you apply a specific Smite book to any compatible heavy weapon. The anvil method is more reliable if you want Smite guaranteed.
Does Smite work better on some heavy weapons than others?
Smite applies the same extra damage bonus to all undead enemies regardless of which heavy weapon carries it. The weapon's base damage determines your total output, but the Smite effect itself is consistent across all compatible items.
Will this pack work with other enchantment mods?
Yes, this pack only modifies weapon tags to accept Smite—it doesn't conflict with other enchantment systems. Other mods that add or modify enchantments should work alongside it.
Can I combine Smite with other enchantments on the same weapon?
Yes, you can add Smite alongside other enchantments using an anvil, as long as the total enchantment cost doesn't exceed the anvil's limit. This lets you create powerful undead-hunting weapons with multiple effects.
Does the pack affect how much experience I need to enchant weapons?
No, the pack only changes which weapons accept Smite. Enchanting costs remain the same as they would be for any other enchantment on those weapons.
What happens if I uninstall one of the weapon mods but keep the data pack?
The pack will still load without errors, but it won't affect anything since there are no weapons from that mod to enchant. Simply remove the pack if you no longer have any compatible weapon mods installed.
Does Smite from this pack work on undead bosses from other mods?
Smite deals extra damage to any entity tagged as undead in Minecraft, which includes most zombie and skeleton variants from other mods. However, custom bosses that don't use the standard undead tag won't take the bonus damage.
