Troubleshoot Unblended Block Edges
Common Reasons Overlays Aren't Working
If you see hard lines between blocks instead of smooth transitions, check these issues:
Verify Connected Textures is Active
Open your mod list or settings menu. Confirm OptiFine or Continuity is loaded. Some launchers disable mods silently—restart your game after installing.
Check Resource Pack Order
Open your resource pack menu in-game. Matcha Block Overlays must sit *above* any other overlay or connected textures packs. Drag it higher in the list if needed. Packs lower in the list override those above them.
Confirm the Pack is Selected
The pack should appear in your "Selected" column, not "Available." If it's grayed out, it may conflict with your Minecraft version or another mod.
Test with Vanilla Blocks
Place blocks that should blend—like mossy cobblestone next to dirt. If they still don't blend, your connected textures mod isn't reading the overlay files. Reinstall the mod and restart completely.
Update Your Mod
Older versions of OptiFine or Continuity may not support all overlay features. Check for updates to both your connected textures mod and the resource pack.
