Setting Up the Resource Pack for Animations

Why You Need the Matching Resource Pack

Malfu Combat Data Pack requires a paired resource pack to display the custom swing animations. Without it, weapons will use default animations and won't look or feel right.

Installation Steps

1. Locate your resource packs folder: Open your Minecraft directory and navigate to resourcepacks

2. Place the resource pack file: Drop the matching Malfu Combat resource pack into this folder

3. Activate in-game: Open Minecraft, go to Options → Resource Packs, and move the Malfu pack to the active list

4. Verify animations load: Create a test world and swing a weapon—you should see smooth, custom animations instead of the default arm swing

Troubleshooting

If animations don't appear:

  • Confirm both the data pack and resource pack are installed
  • Check that the resource pack is actually enabled (highlighted in the active list)
  • Restart Minecraft completely
  • Ensure you're using a compatible Better Combat version

The resource pack is essential—combat won't feel or function as intended without it.
