Manage Multiple Regions and Set Different Protection Rules for Each

Understand Region Independence

Each region you create operates with its own protection settings. This lets you run a PvP-enabled combat zone in one area while keeping your base completely safe in another. Regions don't share rules—configure each one separately.

Create and Assign Chunks to Regions

Open the FTB Teams interface and click the lock icon. Create a new region and give it a descriptive name (e.g., "Main Base," "PvP Arena," "Farm Zone"). Assign your claimed chunks to the appropriate region. You can move chunks between regions later if your needs change.

Configure Protection Rules Per Region

For each region, toggle these settings independently:

  • PvP: Allow or block player-versus-player combat
  • Explosions: Prevent creepers and TNT from damaging terrain
  • Mob Griefing: Stop endermen, ghasts, and other mobs from breaking blocks
  • Access Tiers: Set who can build, break, or use containers (team members, allies, or public)

Pay Upkeep for Active Regions

Each region with active protections costs money to maintain. If your team bank runs low, protections disable one region at a time. Prioritize upkeep for your most valuable territories.
