Skills

The mod features 12 core skills, each with a maximum level of 50. Every point invested provides a minor benefit, while every 5 points often unlock a significant milestone or secondary effect.

Mining Skills

  • Mining: Increases mining speed for stone and ores. Each point adds a chance to receive double drops from ores (excluding player-placed blocks).
  • Digging: Increases the chance of finding treasure (flint, clay, or rare items) when digging dirt, sand, or gravel. At high levels, flint drops from gravel become guaranteed.
  • Woodcutting: Increases the speed of chopping wood and the chance to receive extra planks or sticks from natural logs.

Combat Skills

  • Swords: Increases the chance of a random critical hit. Every 5 points increases base damage dealt with swords by 5%.
  • Archery: Increases the projectile speed of arrows. Every 5 points increases the drawback speed of the bow.
  • Defense: Grants a chance to negate all damage when blocking with a sword. Every 5 points provides a permanent reduction to incoming damage.
  • Stealth: Increases movement speed while sneaking. Every 5 points reduces the range at which mobs can detect the player while sneaking.

Utility & Crafting Skills

  • Athletics: Increases sprinting speed and reduces fall damage taken.
  • Smelting: Increases the chance to receive double output from smelting non-food items. Every 5 points increases smelting speed by 10%.
  • Cooking: Increases the chance to receive double output from cooking food. Every 5 points increases cooking speed by 10%.
  • Farming: Increases the growth rate of nearby crops, melons, and pumpkins. Every 5 points increases the chance for double wheat drops.
  • Fishing: Increases the chance of hooking a fish. Every 5 points adds a chance to find one of 10 random loot items alongside the fish.

Mechanics

Bonus Experience

To facilitate faster leveling, the mod introduces new ways to gain XP: * Mining XP: Mining ores grants a small amount of bonus XP depending on the rarity of the ore. * Crafting XP: Crafting items using specific "approved ingredients" (Sticks, Leather, Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamonds, etc.) provides minor XP bonuses.

Mob Buffs

As the player progresses and explores deeper into the world, the difficulty scales. Mobs spawning at lower Y-levels (closer to bedrock) receive random buffs, including: * Increased Maximum Health * Higher Attack Damage * Damage Resistance * Increased Movement Speed

These buffs are most prominent in the "Diamond Layer" (Y < 16), making deep-cave exploration significantly more dangerous for low-level characters.

Items

The mod adds specialized items to help manage progression and experience.

Talisman of Wonder

The Talisman of Wonder is a powerful tool used to convert raw materials into experience points. By placing a stack of items in a crafting grid with the Talisman, the items are consumed, and the player receives an amount of XP based on the item type and stack size. The Talisman is returned to the player after use.

Convertible Items: * Ores (Coal, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Redstone, Lapis) * Ingots (Iron, Gold) * Food (Steak, Cooked Fish, Bread, etc.) * Misc (Books, Bricks, Pumpkins, Melons)

Book of Unlearning

The Book of Unlearning (also known as the Book of Forgetfulness) allows players to reset their class and skill points. Using the book consumes it and returns all spent skill points to the player's pool, allowing for a complete character respec.
