Dealing with Reworked Pokémon Abilities

What Changed

Laser's Additions reworks how classic abilities function, altering their effects and interactions. Your existing Pokémon may have abilities that now work differently than before.

Checking Your Pokémon's Ability

1. Open your Pokémon's summary screen

2. Look at the ability section

3. Review the current effect—it may differ from vanilla Cobblemon

The pack prioritizes battle balance and fun, so ability changes are intentional design decisions.

Compatibility Notes

If you're using other resource packs that modify abilities or movesets, conflicts may occur. Laser's Additions makes substantial changes to how Pokémon fight, so running multiple battle-altering packs simultaneously isn't recommended. Disable conflicting packs if you notice unexpected behavior.

Testing Changes

Engage in battles to experience how reworked abilities affect gameplay. Some abilities may now trigger more frequently, have stronger effects, or interact differently with weather and terrain.
