Adjust Wave Height and Intensity
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the key bound to shader settings (typically accessed through your shader mod's menu). Look for the Justwaves configuration panel.
Modify Wave Parameters
Locate the wave height slider—this controls how tall the water swells appear. Increasing this value creates more dramatic, rolling waves; decreasing it produces gentler, subtler motion. You'll also find wave frequency or speed controls that determine how quickly waves move across the water surface.
Fine-Tune for Your Preference
Start with moderate settings and observe the changes in real-time. If waves look too aggressive and cause motion sickness, reduce both height and speed. For a more dynamic ocean feel, increase these values gradually. Test in different water bodies—oceans show the most noticeable effect, while rivers and lakes may need different tuning.
Apply and Test
Save your changes and swim through various water areas to confirm the new wave behavior feels right for your gameplay style. You can return to settings at any time to make further adjustments.
