Understanding Arrow Appearance Changes

What You'll See Differently

Itemed Arrows Shaders transforms how arrows appear while flying. Instead of the traditional 3D arrow model that rotates and tumbles through the air, you now see the flat 2D arrow sprite from your inventory.

Visual Characteristics

The arrow sprite maintains:

  • Vanilla pixel style – the same 16×16 pixel art as your inventory
  • Consistent appearance – matches your current resource pack's arrow item texture
  • Flat orientation – displays as a 2D icon rather than a 3D object

Where Changes Apply

The shader modification affects:

  • Arrows you shoot from bows
  • Arrows fired by other players in multiplayer
  • Arrows shot by skeleton mobs
  • Arrows in mid-flight and stuck in blocks

The change is purely visual and doesn't affect arrow behavior, damage, or mechanics. Arrows still travel at the same speed, deal the same damage, and function identically to vanilla arrows. Only their appearance changes through the core shader system, which means no performance impact from additional mod loaders or complex modifications.
