Getting Started

Make sure you have JEI (Just Enough Items) installed so you can see all the recipes and in-game documentation.

Craft a backpack. Craft an upgrade. Add the upgrade to the backpack. Revel in the newfound functionality. Increase the tier of the backpack. Find your life's meaning in that storage space increase and upgrade points boost. Add more upgrades, because you can now. Do it again. Get lost in a sea of features and lose yourself to convenient storage.

To get started in this mod you will need to craft a 'Basic Backpack'. This requires 8 leather and a chest:

You now have a backpack! Pressing shift when hovering over it will display additional information:

Both of these tooltips pertain to upgrade information. We'll get back to them in a minute. For now, let's open the backpack, simply by right clicking it:

Here you can see a normal inventory to store items, just like a chest. Nothing unusual here. What is unique is the ability to shift-right click to open the alternate inventory of the backpack.
