Inventory Swap Plugin FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start a swap between two players?
Use the command /swap player1 player2, replacing with your desired interval in seconds and player1/player2 with the exact usernames. The swap cycle will begin immediately and repeat at your set interval.
What happens if a player leaves during an active swap?
The swap cycle continues running, but that player's inventory slot remains empty or unchanged depending on server behavior. It's recommended to stop the swap with /swap-stop if a participant disconnects.
Can I swap more than two players at once?
Yes, list as many players as you want in the command: /swap player1 player2 player3 player4. All inventories will rotate through each other on every countdown tick.
Do swaps include armor and offhand items?
Yes, the plugin swaps every item in inventory slots, which includes equipped armor and offhand items along with your main inventory.
How do I stop a swap that's already running?
Type /swap-stop to halt the active inventory swap cycle immediately. No countdown or confirmation is needed.
Can players see a warning before their inventory swaps?
Yes, the plugin includes configurable chat notifications sent to players before and after swaps happen. You can customize these messages in the Config.yml file.
What permission do I need to run swap commands?
You need the swap.use permission node to run /swap and /swap-stop commands. Grant this to yourself or other players through your server's permission manager.
Can I set a swap interval of less than 1 second?
The plugin accepts custom countdown intervals in seconds, but very short intervals may cause server lag or unpredictable behavior depending on your hardware.
Do items drop on the ground if someone's inventory is full?
The plugin swaps items directly between inventory slots, so items should not drop unless a player's inventory genuinely cannot hold what they're receiving.
Can I customize what message players see when a swap happens?
Yes, all chat messages sent to participants during gameplay are stored in Config.yml and can be edited to say whatever you want.
