Inventory Cleaner Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on the mod for the first time?
Open your controls menu and bind a key to toggle the Inventory Cleaner, then press that key to activate it. You'll need to add items to your throw list before the mod starts dropping anything, so use /ic additem or open the in-game menu to build your junk list.
What's the difference between blacklist and whitelist mode?
Blacklist mode drops only the items you add to your list, leaving everything else alone. Whitelist mode does the opposite—it drops everything except items on your list, which is useful when you want to keep only valuable gear.
How do I protect my tools and weapons from being thrown?
Use /ic lockslot to lock the inventory slots where your important items sit, usually your hotbar slots. Locked slots will never have their contents dropped, no matter what your throw list says.
Can I save different setups for mining versus combat?
Yes, use /ic config save to save your current item list and locked slots as a profile, then /ic config load to switch between them whenever you change activities.
Why is the mod throwing items too fast or too slow on my server?
Use /ic delay seconds to adjust the time between each item drop to match your server's speed and prevent lag or item loss. Start with a longer delay if items are disappearing, or shorter if you want faster cleaning.
Does the mod work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, the mod opens your inventory automatically when dropping items to stay compatible with multiplayer, so the server sees normal inventory actions instead of items vanishing.
How do I see what items are on my throw list?
Type /ic list to display all items currently set to be dropped and all your locked slot numbers in the chat.
What happens if I lock a slot that already has items I want to drop?
Locking a slot protects everything in it permanently, so make sure you move any junk out of that slot first or use whitelist mode to drop items selectively instead.
Can I add items with spaces in their names?
Yes, use underscores instead of spaces when typing the item name, like /ic additem diamond_ore, and the mod will recognize it correctly.
Does the mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod is designed to be lightweight, but if you experience lag, try increasing the delay between throws with /ic delay seconds or reducing the number of items on your throw list.
