Stop Integrated Villages from Spawning Too Close Together
Increase the Separation Value
The separation setting enforces a minimum chunk distance between towns. Increasing this value creates more breathing room between settlements.
1. Open your data pack's structures configuration file
2. Find the separation parameter
3. Increase this number to push towns further apart
4. Ensure separation remains smaller than your spacing value—if separation exceeds spacing, the configuration becomes invalid
5. Save and restart your world
Finding the Right Balance
A higher separation value prevents towns from clustering, but too high a value combined with large spacing can result in very few towns overall. Adjust both settings together:
- Increase spacing to allow more generation attempts
- Increase separation to enforce minimum distance
- Test in new chunks to verify the spacing feels natural
If towns still appear too close, separation may need to be higher relative to your spacing value.
