Enable 3D Logs to Look Their Best

Optimal Visual Settings

The 3D log models in this pack are designed to shine with the right graphics setup. While the pack works in vanilla Minecraft, you'll see the most dramatic improvement by enabling shaders.

Steps to maximize appearance:

1. Install a shader pack compatible with your Minecraft version. Popular choices include Complementary, BSL, and Nostalgia. Shaders add lighting, shadows, and depth that make the rounded wood textures truly stand out.

2. Adjust your render distance to at least 12 chunks so you can see forests of 3D logs from a distance. This showcases how much better the pack looks compared to flat textures.

3. Place logs sideways in your builds. The 3D models are especially noticeable when logs are oriented horizontally or vertically along different axes—the rounded bark wrapping around each side becomes visible.

4. Explore naturally-generated forests to see the pack's full effect on large groups of trees. The depth and realism of the 3D trunks becomes much more apparent in dense woodland.

5. Test in different lighting conditions—dawn, dusk, and underground—to see how shaders interact with the new textures.

Even without shaders, the improved textures and models provide a noticeable upgrade over vanilla wood blocks.
