Making Alloys in the Alloy Kiln and Arc Furnace

Alloy Kiln Basics

The Alloy Kiln combines two or more metals into an alloy. Feed it the base metals and a fuel source. It produces alloys such as Constantan (copper and nickel) and Electrum (gold and silver). Output is collected from the front. The Kiln is the simplest way to make alloys early on.

Arc Furnace for Advanced Alloys

The Arc Furnace is a multiblock that smelts ores, grits, and alloys at higher speed. Build it from Steel and Blast Brick. Feed it power through Aluminium Wire or Steel Wire. It accepts grits from the Crusher and produces ingots directly. Use it for Steel, Constantan, Electrum, and for recycling metal items.

Storing and Using Alloys

Alloys are stored as Block of Constantan, Block of Electrum, Block of Steel, and similar blocks. Use Constantan in electronic components and Electrum in Advanced Electronic Components. Both feed into the Assembler and Automated Engineer's Workbench for advanced crafting. Keep a stock of each alloy so you are not waiting on the Kiln when a recipe needs them.
