Build the Crusher

Construct the Crusher from Steel and Basic Engineering Blocks. It is a multiblock structure, so place the blocks in the correct pattern shown by the Engineer's Manual or the blueprint. Once formed, it accepts input from the top and outputs to the sides or bottom. Power it with a connected power source such as a water wheel or windmill feeding into the Crusher's energy input.

What the Crusher Does

Feed ores into the Crusher to double your output. Bauxite Ore becomes Aluminium Grit, which is later smelted into Aluminium Ingot. Other ores produce grits and dusts that feed the Arc Furnace and Alloy Kiln. The Crusher also processes stone and gravel into sand and other byproducts. It is the main early-game ore multiplication machine.

Feeding and Output

Use conveyors or hoppers to feed the Crusher continuously. Output items drop from the front or are pulled by a conveyor into a chest. If the Crusher stalls, check that its internal buffer is not full and that power is still flowing. Pair it with the Alloy Kiln and Arc Furnace to turn grits into usable ingots and alloys like Constantan and Electrum.
