Breeding Tamed Variants

Once you've tamed wolf or cat variants, you can breed them using the same methods as standard pets. Feed two tamed wolves bones and they will produce offspring. Similarly, feed two tamed cats fish or string to initiate breeding.

Building a Variant Collection

Breeding allows you to establish populations of your favorite variants without constantly hunting across biomes or villages. Bring pairs of variants back to your base and set up dedicated breeding areas with food supplies.

Note that offspring inherit the parent variants' appearances, so breeding two Sandy Wolves will produce Sandy Wolf pups. This is useful for creating themed pet areas or ensuring you always have companions of your preferred coat patterns nearby. Consider building separate enclosures for each variant to keep your collection organized and make future breeding straightforward.
